Russian news agency TASS cited data from the Association of Russian tour operators on December 28thwhich said that only in November, the percentage of Russian tourists coming to Thailand was up to 20.7% – a record level, 4.1% higher than that of the same period of last year and 8.3% higher than that in October.
The next one is India. In November, the Russian tourists coming to the country rose 3.9% compared with the previous month and more than doubled over the same period of last year.
Vietnam is also an attractive tourist destination of Russian tourists in November (up 3.8% compared with that of the previous month).
Meanwhile, the percentage of Russian tourists coming to Egypt in November was only 10.1%, 20% lower than that of the same period of last year and 33.8% lower than that of the previous month.
Besides, the ban on flights from Russia to Turkey also affects to the number of Russian tourists coming to this country. In November, the demand for booking tours of Russia fell 2% compared with that in October.
10 leading countries
Data from the Association of Russian tour operators also said that 10 leading countries in the search engine and tour booking in November of Russian people include Turkey (30.8%), Egypt (21.8%), Thailand (6.7%), Greece (5%), Spain (4.5%), Vietnam (3%), Cyprus ( 3%), the United Arab Emirates (2.5%), and India (2%) .
